East Belgium Active Invest AG: Entrepreneur from Bullingen is official agent of Petercam SA for the eastern cantons of Belgium – Crisis being used to start-up an enterprise

Those who go into business for oneself as an exchange broker neither needs to be assessed breakneck nor out of touch with reality: Ingo Hepp said that he used the crisis of the money and capital markets to set up his own company.

The 27 year old investment expert, who is an approved stock-dealer for the exchanges at Bruxelles and Frankfurt and who was working as an Asset Manager, is everything but a gambler and has perennial experience. And the one-man-company, which has planned to employ two or three managers for 2004, is not standing alone. The East Belgium Active Invest AG is official agent of Petercam for Belgium's east cantons. In the light of the experience, the reputation and the considerable market share of the almost 100 years old active company, Ingo Hepp has indeed found a solid partner to whip his Investment Management into shape.

Mr Hepp thinks, that private clients, which he sees as his target group, need professional advice for their finances especially in difficult times. Companies as well find solid consultancy at Petercam, who is a specialist for IPOs [initial public offerings].

Thanks to netecho
How the famous Petercam found the east Belgian is almost reading like a fairy tale. Since May 2002, Mr Ingo Hepp is responsible for the "Börsenchronik" at netecho.be, which is the internet platform of the newspaper Grenz-Echo for east Belgium. In this "Börsenchronik" he not only introduces the netecho-users into the technical terms and theories of stock markets but as well is managing a virtual portfolio in which he applies his theories and opinions. Contrary to the general tendency, which arrived at a minus of 30%, Mr Hepp managed to narrow the losses to one percent. It would go to far to reproduce Mr Hepps thoughts completely. For good or ill it’s a fact that he operates cautious and well diversified with a weakness for commodities and cash.

The trough is yet to come
Mr Geert Noels, chief analyst of Petercam, is having a similar philosophy and found his work. As a job-related change was approaching for Mr Hepp, he decided to work as an autonomous agent of Petercam in the eastern cantons of Belgium. This change did not change Mr Hepps philosophy about stockmarkets at all. And so he does not believe all those analysts who are predicting a recovery soon. Also the ray of hope, that many are projecting for the end of 2003, he just defines as a "ridge of high pressure": Mr Hepp is convinced that "the trough is yet ahead of us".
The dark clouds, which he thinks to have found being above excessive overbought markets of the US economy will be moving on hand in hand with more accounting scandals to come which will have signaling effects.
Nevertheless he thinks to have found good products (fixed yielding bonds, Guarantee Capital Fonds, stock trading, derivatives). A professional consultancy about Asset Management and heritage-expertise is offered at the same time. Big trump is, that Mr Hepp can use the infrastructure of Petercam. Next to neutral studies with a lot background knowledge about various market sectors he is using the electronic connection to most stock exchanges, so that buy and sell transactions can be made fast and cost-efficiently.

Ingo Hepp on same wavelength with Johann A. Saiger and Roland Leuschel – Author of the netecho-Börsenchronik in illustrious companion

Those users of netecho, the internet portal by Grenz-Echo for eastern Belgium, who once in a while take a look at the "Börsenchronik", surely will already have asked themselves, how those informations come about. Mainspring of this column with two virtual portfolios, which supply better results than comparable stock indices, is the Investment Consultant Ingo Hepp from Bullingen, who despite his young age possesses many years of practical experience. Mr Hepp warned of the stockmarket crash of the year 2002 and remained sceptical about recent developments in the markets.

With this estimation the East-Belgian is not swimming within the mainstream propagted trends, but was able to to produce handsome profits thanks to the so called "stock-picking" and is now being in excellent companion with other famous observers of the stock-markets. Recently Mr Hepp had the opportunity to talk with Roland Leuschel and Johann Saiger about his views. Especially the in eastern Belgium well-known Roland Leuschel does not need to be introduced. It was him, who as the chief analyst of BBL warned the world of the crash of 1987. One and a half decades later he still is observing the financial world, and this year he wants to publish a new book. Johann A. Saiger, who is often called in the same breath with André Kostolany, is author of two successful newsletters since 1980. Mr Saiger is an expert in the field of precious metals and commodities. What unifies this trio is the knowledge about the problems of the economy and therefore of the stock-markets. Hepp is saying that "the alternatives, especially for novices …, are accordingly few and depend on professional know-how". Nevertheless there are possibilities to protect someones assets and to achieve considerable profits. Approaches on how this can be achieved, shows the "Börsenchronik" from netecho.be, where one as well can subscribe to a newsletter.
